Transition Launch Online Training

  • All Times Pacific (map)

Transition Launch is designed to provide you with everything you need to set-up and run a Transition or other community resilience-building initiative right where you live. At the same time, you will learn essential life skills, such as how to forage knowledge on the web and facilitate online meetings. Many of these skills are highly-transferable to a wide variety of collaborative projects and businesses.

Over the course of eight weekly sessions, you will build mutually-supportive relationships with participants from different contexts and cultures, develop new abilities and knowledge, create your own personal action plan, and receive guidance for overcoming the specific challenges you are facing. Specific topics covered during this training include:

- How to make sense of our fast-changing and increasingly-complex world,

- How to harness the power of positive vision to inspire others,

- How to form and nurture high-performance in groups, and

- How to maintain personal resilience while doing the work you love.

This online version of our most popular training is a unique opportunity to engage in a dynamic, international learning cohort from the comfort of your own home, at a lower cost and with a smaller carbon footprint than traditional face-to-face offerings. Double-down on your commitment to help bring about a truly regenerative future by joining our online community today!

Who Is Launch For?

This course is open to English-speakers from all over the world and will be highly-beneficial and transformative for anyone currently engaged in or wanting to start building resilience in their local community. This kind of activism can take many forms, including: Transition Towns, Permaculture, Local Food, Renewable Energy, New Economy, Social Justice, Participatory Democracy, Emergency Preparedness, and more!

How Does It Work?

This training will consist of a series of in-depth course materials (images, videos, and text) that you will be asked to review before each session, eight 1.5-hour live webinars featuring interactive group exercises and discussion on that week's topic, and a private forum you can use to share resources and continue conversations in between sessions. Please don't worry if you are unfamiliar with any of these technologies! We will make sure that everyone who registers receives clear instructions about how best to use them.

While this online format has many advantages, including more time to digest information from week to week, if you prefer to host a face-to-face training, please click here to learn more about how to do that.
